Base set was the first pokemon card set to be released in the world of pokemon. it was released in japan in 20th october 1996 and in the United States of America in january 9th 1999. Base set includes first generation cards such as Charizard, Blastoise and venasour aswell as less valuable cards such as hitmonlee, hitmonchan machamp and others.
Baseset has 102 cards and of those 102 it contains 16 holo cards. these holo cards are Alakazam,Blastoise,Chansey,Charizard,Clefairy,Gyarados,Hitmonchan,Machamp,Magneton,Mewtwo,Nidoking,Ninetales,Poliwrath,Raichu, Venusaur and Zapdos.
These 16 cards are worth a lot of money in these day and ages. The cards which are valued the highest go from Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Zapdos,Mewtwo,Raichu,Gyarados,Alakazam,Nidoking,Machamp,Ninetales,Poliwrath,Hitmonchan,Magniton to the less valued cards Chansey and Clefairy.
Base Set
This pokemon is known as Charizard and is valued between £10 for a poor condition one to £50 for a mint condition. This card can only be beaten in terms of value by a 1st Edition of the same pokemon or a shadownless charizard. This pokemon from base set is the highest valued card and in my opinium looks the part with its nice art work.
