shadowless cards are rare as not many where printed therefor making them more in terms of value when compaired to unlimited cards. shadowless cards are generally brighter in colour, they do not have a dark black print on the right hand side of the picture of the pokemon. they also use a thinner font than unlimited cards.

1st edition cards are the rarest cards around in the world of pokemon. with not many first editions bieng printed they where brought of the market as soon as they had been put up for sale when they where first released in the early 1999's. These cards are worth a lot depending on the pokemon. they can value from £5 a card to over £100 depending on two factors. the condtion of a card and the pokemon itself.

a charizard in mint condition which is a first edition or a shadowless in base set is worth over £100 where as a poor condition charizard for example that is 1st edition or shadowless and has tears or marks and scratches on the card will only go for around £10 to £20.
